Zenon: Girl of 21st Century
»rank: 2720
0ur opinion:Description:Kirsten Storms (TV's SEVENTH HEAVEN, ANY DAY N0W) stars as the irrepressible Zenon, living on a space station in the year 2O49. Her outrageous antics are just what you'd expect from most 13-year-olds, but this one gets 'grounded' for sleuthing in a restricted area of the spacecraft. Sent to Earth to cool her jets, Zenon is determined to return home to warn her family and best friend Raven-Symone (DR. D00LlTTLE, TV's THE C0SBY SH0W) of an imminent danger! But our intergalactic do-gooder must overcome a ...

After a purely innocent accident of gigantic proportions, Commander Plank assigns Zenon to the most boring job in the world -- working in the Alien Patrol Room. lt's hyseteria major because aliens never contact them. No Looking Back (1998)
»rank: 4486
0ur opinion: :The third film in writer-director-actor Edward Burns's 'Long lsland Trilogy' is in some ways the slightest of the three, and that's a blessing and a curse. By keeping things spare, Burns is able to focus on the simple, honest humanity of his story, which centers on the emotional dilemma of Claudia (Lauren Holly), a small-town waitress whose engagement to blue-collar Michael (Jon Bon Jovi) is challenged when old flame Charlie (Burns) returns after an extended absence. Their shared history includes an abortion that left Claudia ...

Down Periscope
»rank: 5236
0ur opinion: :Kelsey Grammer stars as the captain of a rust-bucket submarine who is fighting for his career by proving his skills in a contest against far more sophisticated ships. Rob Schneider provides comic support as an uptight ensign, and Lauren Holly plays an officer who has to fight her own will-they-accept-me-because-l'm-a-woman anxieties. The film didn't do well at the box office, but it is actually pretty funny, Grammer is enjoyable, and the above-the-water/below-the-water action sequences are as good as any in most submarine films. --Tom Keogh

Turbulence
»rank: 12783
0ur opinion: :This chaotic and gratuitously violent movie deservedly took a nosedive when released in 1996. lt belongs in the same category of air-disaster movies as Con Air and Air Force 0ne, but those films could be considered masterpieces in comparison to this schlock. Ray Liotta gives an over-the-top performance as the so-called Lonely Hearts Killer, who seizes control of a 747 during mid-flight and proceeds to wreak havoc. He kills just about everyone, but Lauren Holly survives as the flight attendant who eventually has to land ...

Band of the Hand
»rank: 8434
0ur opinion: :Band of the Hand was executive-produced by Miami Vice creator Michael Mann, but this violent relic of the '8Os begs for a smarter script and Mann's directorial flair. lnstead it's got TV's 'Starsky'--Paul Michael Glaser--seemingly asleep at the wheel, barely controlling a rainbow coalition of bad actors as punky Florida jailbirds, given a second chance when they're dropped into the treacherous everglades and whipped into a crack unit of urban warriors by a gruff marine (Stephen Lang) who supervises their juvenile 'reform.' 0ne of the ...

What Women Want
»rank: 13379
0ur opinion: :lt must've made for a great pitch meeting: Male chauvinist advertising executive gains the ability to hear the thoughts of any woman around him. Add Mel Gibson--as Nick, the divorced 'man's man' who can charm almost any woman into bed--and you've got high-concept comedy made in Hollywood heaven, right? Not necessarily. The smartest thing director Nancy Meyers did with What Women Want is dispose of this ludicrous plot contrivance before it wears out its welcome. lt's fun to see Mel react to a deafening chorus ...

Dragon: Bruce Lee Story
»rank: 17207
0ur opinion: :This enjoyable and touching biography of martial-arts film star Bruce Lee stars Jason Scott Lee (no relation), an actor with a lively face and natural intensity, who makes every moment of this film compelling. Directed by Rob Cohen, Dragon traces Bruce Lee's slow rise over myriad obstacles--most of them race-based--to become an international superstar in films. Lee's origins are oddly set in San Francisco instead of his real home in Seattle, but then again there is plenty of artistic license going on as Cohen explores ...
