* A total workout and a favorite ...
I used to work out with Ada every morning when she had her Basic Training series on ESPN. All of a sudden it went off the air and it was such a disappointment. Anyhow, I purchased this tape last week on Gilad's website. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ada, with her team of 3 men and 3 women is excellent. First of all, they all have great bodies and if you don't, working out with them is motiviation to get you to aspire to have a body like any one of them. She starts off with a 7 minute warm-up followed by 25 minutes of aerobics. The moves are made with much guidance for the beginner but it is absolutely challenging for advanced. I work out at least 5 times a week and at the end of this segment, I was in serious need of water. They then move on to 22 minutes of strength training (so in my opinion, two workouts in one tape) and they are very challenging. They recommend light weights and you should start off with them. I started off with 5 weights on each hand and even as they aren't very heavy, I had some trouble. My arms were actually shaking a bit as I was doing the over the head exercises. I had to then do as they suggested and dropped to 3 pound weights. Start off with low weights and work your way to heavier weights as you master the exercises. The last 7 minutes is a total body stretch.
Wow, what a workout. When I was done I actually needed to lay on the floor for a few mintues to get it together again. The best part of this tape is that unlike the television series, they don't go to commercial where you have to do the same movements until they return.
Currently, it is only available in VHS but according to the website it does say DVD coming soon. When it comes out on DVD I will purchase that too but for now, I couldn't wait to get it. Best of luck.

basic, yet not overly perky
I love all Ada Janklowicz's workout videos because they are challenging, yet basic and most importantly not overly cutesy with intricate dance steps. I am not a dancer nor do I want to be, so I find all of Ada's video's easy to follow. At one point in my life her video's helped me get in great shape and stay that way. However after having an 11 pound baby I am at a different fitness level, (totally out of shape), and Ada's video's are still basic enough for me to use. My point is her video's are good for all fitness levels.
Does anyone know what happened to Ada and Gilad?
